Dear fellow 61-ers:

Five years ago, I was one of the earliest to sign up for the Golden Re-union. My expectations were very high as the investments in time, effort and dollars were not insignificant. In the end, all my expectations were exceeded. I got my wish fulfilled:

但願時光倒流, 兒時可再.

For a week or more, time seemed to flow backwards and I re-lived part of my happy childhood with friends I grew up with. Nothing could be more marvellous or miraculous.

Fast forward five years, I again signed up early for the 55th re-union. I figure that in another five years’ time (60th re-union), I would be:

a) dead, enjoying eternity in hell or heaven;
b) dead, reincarnated as a mosquito, or panda or a woman;
c) alive, but too frail, or fat to travel;
d) alive, but too senile to enjoy any experience.

Thus it would appear that the 55th re-union would be my last opportunity to enjoy another taste of my long lost childhood. This may be the case for you as well.

To my fellow classmates residing outside HK, act NOW. Airfare has never been so low. Francis Siu can get you a good deal on hotel accommodation. Come early or stay late, tacking on a trip to China or the neighbouring countries. Bring your significant other. She/he deserves a vacation.

To my fellow classmates residing in HK, act NOW and register. Last minute surprises are welcome; but it would make life easier for the organizers to know ahead of time the final head count. (We all want to give Joe Chiu et al an easy life so that they would take on the job again in 2021.)

Do come and join us. Satisfaction guaranteed!

With warmest regards,
